As Marcos from Chili Com Carne wrote us, the exhibition was succesfully opened in the Galery Artside in Lisbon. Together with the exhibition opening was also the release of the Portuguese “Massive” Anthology. Below you can see some picture of the exhibition. As you can see it was extended with some other match related artworks. The pictures are a little bit blurry, but this might be due to the fact that the Latvian embassy brought Rigas Balsams…

Lot of thanks to CHILI COM CARNE for hosting the exhibition and also big thanks to the Latvian Embassy in Portugal for their great support!

In 2010 the “last match” exhibition is traveling further: in January it will be in Lisabon, in February in Linz and in June in Leipzig. In between maybe also in Lucerne… ? To make the L’s complete maybe there is someone in Ljubliana, London, Los Angeles, Lyon, Lausanne, Lübeck, Liverpool, Lahti, Lille, Lillehammer, Liepaja, Luxemburg or Limmerick who would like to show it? Just write us to komikss(at)gmail(.)com. Next year we could do B-cities… let’s see. Soon I write a more exact schedule with more exact dates and places!
There is an article about the Survival Kit project on the New York based ArtSlant. Look here: http://www.artslant.com/ny/articles/show/10048 . There is also a small description of the last match project, and even two pictures. One you can figure out yourself, on the other are the apples which we distributed at the opening…
more pictures you can of course find here on the “exhibition pictures” section and on http://www.flickr.com/photos/thelastmatch
On the 12th of September at Baltanakts the exhibition started with lots of visitors and will be open for more visitors to Lacplesu iela 37 until the 19th of September.
Now we have 144 last matches from 38 different countries. At Saturday the exhibition will open at Baltanakts in the framework of the Survival Kit Project in Riga. People from abroad may follow the exhibition right here and take a closer look at all the artworks on http://www.flickr.com/photos/thelastmatch
People who are in Riga we advise to go and see it in real at Lacplesu iela 37 between the 12th and the 19th September, because in real the works look much nicer than on our photos.
